About

This is website is the landing page for Confronting Christian Zionism: Seeking Justice and Solidarity in a Time of Imperial Violence, a ~6 week chruch school class at Redeemer Community Church in the summer of 2024. The class is taught by a High School World History and Ethnic Studies teacher in SFUSD. He brings his teaching experience, experience as an anti-racist student organizer at an evangelical colelge and his love for liberation theology to the class. The class is largely inspired by the book: Decolonizing Palestine, the Land, the People, the Bible by the Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb.

As Israel continues its genocidal assault on Palestinians with the support of many Christians, the class aims to provide:

• an introduction to the history of Palestine
• an introduction to theological responses to injustice
• a place to process and to pray
• a place to plan action against injustice in Palestine
